The Uhuru Radio launch event went great!
Chairman Omali Yeshitela lit a fire in the audience of about 300 people with standing room only.
APSP-SL Chair Chernoh Alpha M. Bah opened the event up explaining the significance of the launch and talked about how the neocolonial media (the ones tied to the neocolonial APC and SLPP parties) used the statement of the movement's intention to launch the Uhuru Radio station, to attack the APSP-SL. Their claim was that the Party made unfulfilled promises. However, despite the repeated loops and obstacles that Uhuru Radio forces had to jump through, Uhuru Radio is here!
Although still setting up equipment and waiting for the frequency to be allocated, Uhuru Radio FM will be live within the next few weeks. Comrade Alhaji Serrah Bah, who is managing Uhuru Radio FM, has a great project on his hands. From what I can see, the brother is quite capable of handling it.
I've also got to mention that the Africans in attendance were real surprised — like those at the Party launching conference — to hear Penny Hess, Chair of the African People's Solidarity Committee. She talked about how the white nation stole everything they have from Africa and the rest of the world. One of our forces overheard a conversation after the event where an African was saying, "The white man call the white man a thief!" It amazes them to hear African Internationalism coming out a white woman's mouth. It is the Party's theory and strategy that made it possible to send black power into the white community.
Anyway, the Uhuru Radio launch was a good event. I look forward to the kickoff broadcast!
Uhuru!
