Understanding that black people everywhere are part of the African nation, the Uhuru Movement, led by the African Socialist International / African People's Socialist Party, has built worldwide organizations for economic and political self-reliance. In every region of the world, the Uhuru Movement unites African people to defend the rights of African people everywhere.

International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM)
For over three decades, the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) has fought courageously for justice for African victims of police brutality and defends the right of African people to resist colonial oppression. InPDUM also fights for the African community’s right to community control of education and housing.
Black Star Industries (BSI)
The goal of Black Star Industries (BSI) is to begin the process of building an economic system for African people. Africa and Africans have taken care of Europe and others for more than 500 years while African people have faced hardships and starvation in Africa and throughout the world.
African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF)
The nonprofit African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF) builds dynamic community programs and institutions that address the needs of African people around education, health and economic development. The Uhuru Houses in St. Petersburg, FL and Oakland, CA with Akwaaba (Welcome) Halls are economic and cultural hubs of activity with community participation in programs such as the Halloween Haunted House, St. Pete Kids Got Talent, Black Love Comedy Jam, town hall meetings and low-cost community rentals.

African National Women's Organization (ANWO)
ANWO’s mission is to bring African women into political life and to empower them economically, socially and politically; to forward the interests of African people internationally through our programs aimed particularly at the advancement of African women; and to liberate African women and men from the customs and practices that serve to keep us subjugated.
African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF)
Health and Wellness Programs in St. Pete, Oakland and Philadelphia include the TyRon Lewis Community Fitness Gym, Kids Fit Camp, BoxAerobics, free HIV screenings and Health Festivals/Black Sunday Community Health Days.
All African People’s Development and Empowerment Project (AAPDEP)
AAPDEP organizes development projects that improve the quality of life in African communities worldwide by making use of the vast technical expertise of Africans everywhere. AAPDEP projects include infant and maternal health clinics, rainwater harvesting, community electrification through renewable energy technologies, farming, fishing, community health workers training and education initiatives.

Burning Spear Media
Burning Spear Media is the independent media of the African working class, and features at its core the oldest African liberation newspaper in publication, The Burning Spear newspaper, published continuously since 1968. Burning Spear Media also includes, The Burning Spear newspaper online, Burning Spear Publications, Vanguard A/V and the Living History Archives.

From the day he ripped down the anti-African mural from the walls of City Hall in St Petersburg, Florida in 1966, Chairman Omali Yeshitela (then known as Joseph Waller) has never stopped fighting for freedom for African people everywhere. Today, Chairman Omali Yeshitela speaks to his growing base of Party organizations, members and supporters around the world. He writes and actively leads the worldwide movement for the liberation of Africa and African people everywhere.
Uhuru Solidarity Movement (USM)
An organization of white people created by and working directly under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party. USM organizes in the white community to build political support and raise reparations to the African community.
