Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian has suggested that the U.S. military may have unleashed COVID-19 in Wuhan.
From October 18-27, 2019, Wuhan was also the site of the 2019 World Military Games. Nearly 10,000 military personnel from 109 countries converged on Wuhan to compete at various venues.
During this period U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was traveling the world in support of U.S. sanctions against China and warning countries not to trade with them.
Iranian leaders have also raised the possibility that the U.S. government is behind the current pandemic. Iran has been among the first and top three countries hit hardest by the virus, which has infected or killed several of its leaders.
Imperialist pundits in the U.S. have openly expressed glee at the suffering of their foes in Iran. Mark Dubowitz, executive director of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) boasted on Twitter that “Coronavirus has done what American economic sanctions could not: shut down non-oil exports.”
The dominant colonial media explanation for the emergence of COVID-19 is that the deadly virus mysteriously jumped from animals to humans in a “wet market” in Wuhan.
Wuhan is also home to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The U.K. Daily Mail revealed in an article on April 11, 2020 that the U.S. is actively involved with the Wuhan lab and funded it with a grant of $3.7 million.
Other U.S. financial backers of the Wuhan lab include the University of Alabama, the University of North Texas, Harvard University and the National Wildlife Federation.
The speculation that the U.S. used that lab to spread the COVID-19 virus to the people of Wuhan and beyond is highly legitimate.
The U.S. initiated the use of bioweapons around the world and against African people and others colonized inside this country. The center of offensive bioweapon development is notoriously Ft. Detrick, Maryland.
The usual suspects
If COVID-19 is indeed a weapon of biological warfare, investigators must look for motive, means and opportunity to find the perpetrator of the crime.
Two of the first and hardest hit countries are China and Iran, countries that the U.S. government has targeted and been engaged for some time now in a kind of low intensity warfare.
Chairman Omali explains, “The U.S. is engaged in intense struggle on the continent of Africa and other places for leadership and control of the world’s resources.
“It is clear, looking at even what the bourgeoisie says in its major journals that China is regarded as an existential threat to U.S. hegemony and to the ongoing domination of the world by imperial white people.
“Representatives of the U.S. government have been traveling throughout the world threatening their minions and people who rely on them for resources to end their economic relationship with China.
“The U.S. is telling them they should not allow Huawei, China’s huge 5G technology provider to function there and to disengage from the major economic infrastructure project that China has initiated—a project that challenges the hegemony of the World Bank and other economic entities under the control of the U.S.”
“The U.S. got Huawei’s chief financial officer, Meng Wanzhou, arrested and extradited from Canada on charges she breached U.S. economic sanctions on Iran.
“Iran has been under attack from the U.S. since the successful Iranian Revolution that kicked out the U.S.-backed Shah in 1979.
“They have waged incessant war on Iran including an economic quarantine that’s designed to starve the Iranian people to the extent that they would turn against their own government and the U.S. can initiate regime change there.
“In February, the U.S. assassinated a popular Iranian general, Qassem Soleimani, in a drone strike and bragged about it.
“Some people doubt that the U.S. could have unleashed the Coronavirus on China because it’s hitting other places including inside the U.S. itself.
“It’s threatening life in the U.S. It’s threatening the economy of the U.S. It’s threatening the entire world economy.
“But the world economy was already under assault. When we talk about the world economy, we’re talking about a U.S. white-dominated economy.
“As far as the imperialist powers in the U.S. are concerned, the successful rise of China would be an even greater threat than the Coronavirus itself.
“It’s not outlandish to assume that the U.S. or some other imperialist power would have created this thing to salvage its place in the world. The fact is, it does that to us every day.”
U.S. leads in genocide
The U.S. is the only country to have dropped nuclear bombs and was willing to harm its own soldiers in order to devastate Viet Nam with Agent Orange. It is well-known for its use of chemical and biological weapons against colonized peoples:
- Smallpox on blankets to wipe out the Indigenous people
- Tuskegee experiments with syphilis on African men from 1932-1972
- Secret sterilization of African women
- Crack cocaine developed in labs and brought into the African community
- Laboratory-created diseases directed at Africa such as Ebola and AIDS as well as the extraordinary stories they’ve come up with to explain where these diseases originate
- Conducted a biological weapons test spraying toxic powder over black North St. Louis in the ’50s and ’60s causing widespread cancer and early death
- Countless coups, “regime change,” murders of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr., attempts on Fidel Castro’s life, and reputed disease infection resulting in the death of Hugo Chavez
According to Chairman Omali, “This is imperialism. This is colonialism.
“The U.S. as the current leader of capitalism has wiped out whole peoples and turned human beings into commodities. They use rape and plunder.
“This is what the U.S. does to maintain power over the resources and geopolitics, stolen labor and stolen land.”
Only the unification of Africa and African people under the leadership of the African working class in alliance with the poor peasantry can create a safe, secure, healthy and prosperous life for African people and a sustainable peaceful planet for everyone.
