Black Mother’s March gathers in D.C. to expose state-kidnappings of black children

The Black Mother’s March on the White House, a coalition of black-led organizations involved in the struggle to rescue our children from the clutches of the colonial State commenced its 5th Annual March this past Mother’s Day, May 10, 2026.

African women, men and children traveled from various parts of the U.S. to take part in this powerful mobilization that’s more than a march, but a weekend of events that aim to teach and empower African families running up against the modern-day slavers known as Child Protective Services (CPS) and similar agencies. 

The Coalition is chaired by Yejide Orunmila, President of the African National Women’s Organization and co-chaired by Amanda Wallace, leader of Operation Stop CPS. 

The Black Mother’s March on the White House mission, in part, is to, “expose the systematic attack on black women and the black family by the U.S. government.”
