The APSP-sponsored tour of Africanist Movement Director Chernoh Alpha M. Bah took him through 16 cities throughout the U.S. winning support for the work of the Africanist Movement and ending its political isolation.

The 2006 Freedom Tour built by the African People’s Socialist Party was a momentous success. The tour exceeded its goals to end the isolation of the Africanist Movement, and build material and political solidarity for the work on the ground in West Africa. As a result of this tour, the Africanist Movement is no longer confined to the borders in West Africa, but rather recognized and supported by the African World at large. This accomplishment is an extremely significant leap forward in the realization of a united Africa.

Furthermore, Chernoh’s presence and powerful testimony enkindled a fire inside people throughout the US and UK to struggle to bring an end to the suffering that has been imposed on Africans by a small group of imperialist nations. This was reflected in the large number of people who attended the events and stepped forward to join the organization, serve as volunteers, make financial donations, and support the work in West Africa.

This tour effectively raised the questions that expose the viciousness of imperialism and its parasitic plot to loot the resources of Africa. In fact, many people who did not know or understand anything about the Diamond Wars in Africa were made aware of the reality of the situation and the true culprit who is behind it.

Today in Sierra Leone, Africans live in the most miserable conditions. Where the life expectancy of an African man is less than 37 years of age and the infant mortality rate is one of the highest in the world. In Freetown, Sierra Leone, the capital city, there are no such amenities as electricity or running water. In the mines of Kono, Sierra Leone miners are paid 30 cents a day to excavate some of the richest diamonds in the world. conditions that Chernoh Alpha M. Bah and the Freedom Tour has exposed. If you were moved by the testimony of Chernoh Alpha M. Bah and want to be a part of a process that will bring an end to the suffering in Sierra Leone, then the Sierra Leone Support Committee is the place for you. This committee works in solidarity with the Africanist Movement to provide material and political support for the work that the movement is doing.

The Africanist Movement’s Institution of Business and Technology is one of only two universities in Sierra Leone and is the only one that serves a revolutionary strategy.

This committee will primarily function as a fundraising apparatus, organizing resources, skills, and projects needed to transform the living conditions in Sierra Leone. We are currently developing electrification, water purification, and prosthetics projects to function on the ground in Sierra Leone. We have also initiated a process to contribute to the development of the University of Business and Technology that was built by the Africanist Movement. These are just a few of the projects being initiated by the African People’s Socialist Party to transform the lives of the people in Sierra Leone.

It is important to understand that this project is a part of a strategy to liberate African people. In addition, this Support Committee will not be limited to Sierra Leone but will grow as an institution designed to equip and empower African people world-wide. Joining this support committee is an opportunity of a lifetime, and we need you to take a stand in support of a Movement dedicated to bringing an end to the misery and suffering of African people.
