One Africa! One Nation! One Party! Tour in Africa, Europe and U.S. builds for the Sixth Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party.
As the imperialist’s crisis, war and demoralization intensifies, the African People’s Socialist Party and its organizations are experiencing exponential growth as the youthful and dynamic Uhuru Movement rapidly spreads across the globe.
Since the recent promotions of Chairman Omali Yeshitela’s 2013 international tour, demand for the Chairman to speak has come from across the globe, from Swaziland to South Philadelphia, Colombia to Chicago and from Nairobi to New York.
The One Africa! One Nation! One Party! Tour will take Chairman Omali across at least three continents to galvanize support for and participation in the Party’s 6th Congress to be held in St Petersburg, Florida, on December 7-11 of this year.
The Congress is the international gathering of African People’s Socialist Party members who converge from throughout the world every three years to sum up, strategize and adopt resolutions for the upcoming work by the Party to build the ever-growing movement for the liberation of Africa and African people everywhere.
The One Africa! One Nation! One Party! Tour follows on the heels of the exuberantly successful Marcus Garvey Legacy Tour, held in October 2012 where the Chairman and actor Ron Bobb-Semple received standing ovations from predominately African audiences in five European cities.
The Chairman will launch the tour in May as he travels to Ghana for the first time in six years, making the trip with his staff members, including Deputy Chair Ona Zene’ Yeshitela, head of the Party’s Office of Economic Development and Finance and Black Star Industries and Party videographer, Dedan Sankara.
Scheduled to return from Africa just in time for the African Liberation Day (ALD) event in Washington, DC on May 25, Chairman Omali will give the keynote presentation at the annual event that pushes forward the movement to liberate Africa and African people everywhere.
From the ALD in Washington, the Chairman heads for Europe for the historic African Liberation Day event in Paris on June 1 and 2.
The 2013 Paris ALD event in France will replicate the enthusiastic Paris ALD of 2012 where more than 300 African people jumped to their feet in sustained cheering during the Chairman’s presentation that was simultaneously translated into French.
From Paris, the Chairman will travel to Cologne and Berlin, Germany, then to Stockholm, Sweden where events will also feature African Socialist International Secretary-General, Luwezi Kinshasa and African People’s Solidarity Committee Chair, Penny Hess.
The goal of the tour in Europe this year is to not only build the African People’s Socialist Party’s Congress but to also build the African People’s Solidarity Committee, the Party organization specifically for Europeans and North Americans.
In early July, the Chairman is slated to return to Europe to speak in Amsterdam, Holland during its commemoration of the 150 years since the abolition of Dutch enslavement of African people.
July events will also include events celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Party’s Uhuru Furniture store in Oakland, CA on July 13.
From there, the Chairman will head to New York where he will participate in the Harlem Book Fair on July 20, immediately followed by speaking events in Harlem, Brooklyn, Newark and Philadelphia.
Other upcoming 2013 speaking events include the August 17 and 18 annual conference of the Black is Back Coalition. Throughout the fall, the Chairman is scheduled to speak in many U.S. cities, including Memphis, Houston, Chicago, Milwaukee, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, Oakland and many others!
