The people of Puerto Rico fight back against U.S. colonialism!
The colonized and oppressed people of Puerto Rico are deepening the crisis of imperialism by intensifying their resistance to U.S. colonialism.
Puerto Ricans shut down superstore, Walmart, on September 1, 2016 to protest the economic chokehold the corporation has on the island.
Five hundred Puerto Ricans protested in San Juan to demand independence on Jun 18, 2016. The demonstration was led by the Puerto Rican Independence Movement.
Puerto Ricans led by Se Acabaron Las Promesas (Promises Are Over) demonstrated at the Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan, blocking the capitalist gangsters who were there to attend the first PROMESA Conference on August 31, 2016.
The PROMESA (Puerto Rico Oversight Management and Economic Stability Act) is a program which the U.S. imposed on the people of the island.
Indigenous people stand up to white power at the Standing Rock Sioux reservation
The Indigenous people to this land are currently engaged in intense struggle against parasitic capitalist companies as well as the U.S. State to protect their land and water supply.
Indigenous people of the Standing Rock Sioux reservation in North Dakota are heavily resisting––and have been since the beginning of August––the illegitimate plans to construct the Dakota Access Pipeline.
The pipeline is an estimated $3.8 billion four-state oil pipeline that will span 1,172-mile and cross the Missouri River to carry crude oil from North Dakota, through South Dakota and Iowa, to southern Illinois.
Chairman Omali Yeshitela of the African People’s Socialist Party (APSP) will be honored in an evening reception where he will tell the story of the 1966 protest that culminated in his tearing down of the anti-African mural which had hung in St. Petersburg’s City Hall since the 1940s.
The event will take place at Akwaaba Hall at the Uhuru House, 1245 18th Ave. South, St. Petersburg on Tuesday, Sept. 13th at 6 p.m. and is sponsored by the Uhuru Solidarity Movement (USM).
Chairman Omali, then known as Joseph Waller, will reveal his plans to counter the city’s current attempt “to whitewash the issue of the removal of the obscene colonialist mural and undermine its significance for the African community of St. Petersburg and the U.S.”
49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick speaks out against U.S. white power
CALIFORNIA––Twenty-eight-year-old San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took a stand on the side of Africans and other oppressed people around the world on Friday, August 26th by refusing to stand for the national anthem at Friday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
Colin, the biological child of a white woman and an African man, was adopted at five weeks old and raised by a white couple. Despite this, he has firmly stated that he is “a representative of the African community.”
This is the third time that Colin has refused to stand for the national anthem before a pre-season game.
With this third act of resistance Colin has put his football career and endorsements on the line, and has upset the general white population––some of which have burned their Kaepernick jersey in protest. Colonial media is also in a frenzy.
Colin has since come out to say that they can take football and his endorsements away, but he has to stand for what he believes in. He is also reported as saying that he has been thinking for a while of what he could do to speak out.
Sylville Smith’s brother’s statement: “This is what the police provoke”
The whole world saw the resistance which erupted among the African working class of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 13, 2016, in response to the police murder of 23-year-old African, Sylville Smith.
A CBS reporter on the scene of the uprising, interviewed Sedan Smith, Sylville’s brother.
The reporter, who was particularly more concerned about the possibility of Sedan using profanity on live television than the pain which Sedan was certainly feeling as he mourns his brother’s murder, was ultimately left speechless by Sedan’s powerful words.

Africans in Milwaukee rise up in response to the police murder of Sylville Smith!
Milwaukee, WI––Africans took to the streets in heavy resistance in the city of Milwaukee after 23-year-old African Sylville Smith was shot and murdered by Milwaukee police on August 13, 2016.
Witnesses said that a cop hit Sylville’s car with his car. Sylville jumped out of the car and ran for his life. The cop, an African who’s name has yet to be released, gave chase and shot Sylville in his back.
Black August : Two years ago today, Mike Brown was murdered and Africans in Ferguson resisted!
FERGUSON, MO—August 9th marks the two-year anniversary of the murder of 18-year-old Michael Brown who was killed by Ferguson, MO Police Officer Darren Wilson.
Witnesses stated that Mike Brown was shot eight times while his hands were in the air. His rotting body was then kept on the concrete for more than eight hours as an example to the Ferguson community of what the police will do if they disobey their orders.
What the police did not expect in this suburb of St. Louis, MO was resistance from the African working class community. This powerful display of African Resistance on August 9, 2014 marks one of the critical dates in Black August.
