"NZO - African Styles at Home and Abroad" is an exciting new African design product line developed by APEDF to expand the economic base for the rising African independent economy.

For more than 30 years, the Uhuru holiday pie sale has been the progressive holiday tradition in the San Francisco Bay Area and in St. Petersburg, Florida. Each fall, thousands of delighted buyers and hundreds of volunteer bakers and pie sellers support this vital program. 

The outpouring of support is not only for the mouth-watering fresh-baked fruit and nut pies. Uhuru Foods and Pies is a dynamic African economic development institution of Black Star Industries (BSI). 

BSI is the seed of the independent African economy through which we will once again own and control our resources. This is the future that each bite of an Uhuru Pie builds.

The Puerto Rican government is currently contending with a $70-billion-dollar debt crisis while also experiencing an intractable 10-year economic slump.

Between 2005 and 2015, Puerto Rico’s gross national product (GNP)—the total value of all goods and services produced by Puerto Rican-owned firms—decreased by 14 percent as its debt rose to over 100 percent of GNP.

This means that the country’s debt is greater than its income.

Zimbabwe’s president Mugabe repeals his decision to take possession of the country’s gold mines
