The People’s Vanguard to perform at Sixth Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party

The People's Vanguard are now students of African Internationalism and is comprised of four core members: Glynn, Wildcard, Post and RAG.

Check out their statement about their upcoming performance at the Sixth Congress:

We are all SOLO hip hop artists but we frequently come together as a coalition group to release free annual projects for the people!

Last year was "Revolutionary Ways Chapter 1." This year, in late April, we released "Revolutionary Ways Chapter 2: The Resistance."

Chapter 1 received a lot of support from the libertarian and anarchist crowd.

Chapter 2 is when we really started laying down our ideology and talking about the struggle of the Afrikan people, which received a lot of support from the far-left crowd, the revolutionaries.

Prior to the release of Chapter 2, we came up with the idea for a revolutionary political group inspired by Malcolm, the ORIGINAL Panthers, Garvey, Kwame Ture… we decided that sending the message through music is just one tool we can use for the struggle, but if we really want revolution we must first ORGANIZE.

We recognize that organization is one step further towards liberation. Liberation of our land, liberation from the global parasitic capitalist economic system in which we live.

We are openly socialist… we are openly communist and very proud of it. This label does not scare us.

We recognize that our ideology is African Internationalism even though openly labeling yourself as a communist puts you in the Marxist category in the view of the bourgeoisie.

We are communists because we know that is what the world would be with a global socialist economy. So this is what the Vanguard pushes in our music and in our field work. The unification of Afrikan people who have been dispersed all over the world by slavery and colonialism.

One Nation, One Afrika, united under scientific socialism!

This is very important to us because we as Afrikans must be in the position to control our own destiny, our own land, our own WEALTH.

Afrikans are the vanguard of the revolution, the ones who were the start up capital for capitalism must be the ones who destroy the exploitative system.

This is the type of message we preach to our fans, ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

So it's an honor to be invited to the APSP's Sixth Congress to showcase our talent and revolutionary message to the already well established Uhuru Movement.

It's like coming to a family reunion after being lost for so many years!

Izwe lethu i Afrika! Forward to the Sixth Congress!!
