Uhuru Radio thanks you!

Burning Spear Media’s 2013 Spring benefit, the Uhuru Radiothon, succeeded in raising over $7000, thanks to our members, volunteers and supporters from around the world.

These much-needed funds will go towards equipment and software upgrades that will enable Uhuru Radio to produce a more professional and dynamic sound to the online voice of the international African revolution.

As those who tuned in to our 20-hour fundraising broadcast can attest, such an upgrade is sorely needed to overcome the technical difficulties that challenged our ability to deliver the quality of presentation that Uhuru Radio’s powerful program hosts and guests deserve.

With the funds raised this month, we can now print promotional materials to help get the word out and grow the audience for our important message of African freedom and unity.

This summer we will be able to provide funds to pay for an engineering study that is required as a part of the application for a new low power FM radio license to serve our community.

Because Uhuru Radio is entirely funded by you, our members and supporters, our message will always be true to the best interests of the African liberation struggle. No capitalist corporation, governmental NGO or liberal grants agency can tell us what to broadcast.

We promise to continue to tell the truth, to tell your stories, and to bring to you the analysis and strategy of the Uhuru Movement for winning freedom and independence for African people in our lifetime!
