African People’s Socialist Party (APSP)

Our Party, using the historical materialist method of investigation and analysis, concluded that black people within current U.S. borders are Africans, an integral part of a forcibly-dispersed nation. National oppression and subjugation is not something that is resolved through integrating into the system of the colonizing nation. It is resolved through emancipation from the grasp of our predatory, parasitic colonizers.

The African People’s Socialist Party was founded by Chairman Omali Yeshitela in 1972 at the height of the brutal U.S. government counterinsurgency war against the Black Revolution of the 1960s.

John McCain is dead. The Arizona senator─who devoted his entire adult life to “serving” the U.S. imperialist project of slaughtering oppressed peoples and seizing their lands─died of cancer at 81.

At the end of her 1925 article, “Women as Leaders,” which was published in the UNIA’s newspaper, The Negro World, Amy Euphemia Jacques Garvey writes, “We are tired of hearing Negro men say, ‘There is a better day coming,’ while they do nothing to usher in the day. 

In preparation for the African People’s Socialist Party’s Seventh Congress taking place in October 6 through 12, the Party has launched a series of regional Conferences are or have happened throughout the U.S., Europe, and Africa, for members of our Party to conduct the readings, studies, and discussions of the Political Report to the Seventh Congress authored by Chairman Omali Yeshitela.

All societies contain an advanced sector. These are people who, for whatever reason, stand out because of their willingness to step forward to address the pressing problems found in society at any given time.

Our Party and Chairman Omali Yeshitela have guided the African Revolution for the past fifty years. Chairman Yeshitela has brought African people into the world arena as one of the first colonial nations to have successfully united, under one banner,  an international liberation movement.

In this most volatile crisis situation the capitalist world is in, the oppressed nations continue to irreversibly push forward an end to the relationship that has binded us to oppressor white nations against our will for the last 600 years.

On June 8, 2018 the International Criminal Court (ICC) reversed their 2016 conviction of Jean Pierre Bemba, the leader of the Movement for the Liberation of Congo (MLC), on charges of crimes against humanity and war crimes.
