Attempted criminalization of the Initiative in Remembrance of Oury Jalloh

On January 18, 2012, the colonial media is reporting on an alleged "arson attack" on a police station in Dessau, Germany, supposedly involving the slogan “Oury Jalloh – that was murder" being sprayed on the facade of the building.

Colonial articles published on the matter insinuate a connection between the Initiative in Remembrance of Oury Jalloh and the fire, thereby criminalizing the political work of the Initiative in Remembrance of Oury Jalloh.

If the fire and the graffiti actually did occur at the same time and place, the Initiave in Remembrance of Oury Jalloh considers this to be a deliberate and systematic criminalization of the Initiative and its members.

Oury Jalloh is an African who was murdered by German police in 2005. Police recently beat unconscious an African demonstrator during a public memorial of his murder.

For seven years, the Initiative in Remembrance of Oury Jalloh has fought for truth, justice and indemnity. Nevertheless, the authorities have responded with terrorism, repression, cover-up and systematic lies.

Stop the Criminalization of the Initiative in Remembrance of Oury Jalloh!
