Fake Omali Yeshitela twitter account attempts to provoke attacks on ASI Chairman

A fake twitter account has been created of Omali Yeshitela. The account, listed as @yeshiteli, seems to be aimed at provoking violence against Chairman Omali Yeshitela. It has been engaging white nationalist followers of radio DJ Todd “Bubba the Love Sponge” Clem, who on last month called for the assassination of Chairman Omali on the air.

In addition, so-called "private investigator" Bill Warner is reposting the tweets from this fake account as if they are actually statements from Chairman Omali Yeshitela in his continuing campaign of disinformation.

We want to urge Uhuru Movement members, supporters and friends not to respond to this false account. Do not respond to anyone responding to it.

This account is an attempt to take this away from a political and ideological debate and demean the struggle African people are engaged in by reducing it to the level of the rabid, nonsensical and racially-charged attacks against the Uhuru Movement.

Again, this twitter account has nothing to do with Chairman Omali Yeshitela or the Uhuru Movement. Do not engage with this account.

Uhuru!
