Black is Back scores permit in contest with Philly City Hall

Victory!!! The Black is Back Coalition successfully led the struggle to secure the permit to hold our Nov 5 march on Broad Street in North Philly entitled "Stop the Wars! Build the Resistance!"

The City tried to deny the permit, stating that all its resources were "occupied" at Occupy Philly.

We held a press conference and demonstration alongside participants of Occupy Philly, Philly Against War and others to demand the City relinquish the permit.

We united under the principle that the white community cannot enjoy freedom of speech at the expense of such freedom for the African community.

Within 30 minutes after the press conference was held, the City sent the permit!

When we struggle we win!

All power to the people!

Forward to the Nov 5 Black is Back march entitled "Stop the Wars! Build the Resistance!"
