Ade Griffin: Hello everybody! How y’all doing?

Audience: Alright. Uhuru!

AG: So I hadn’t planned on saying anything tonight. But I just wanted to take a moment and tell you all how absolutely honored I am to represent you, Mr. Chairman.

I know I’ve said that before, but it truly is an honor to be here.

And as I sat here with all of you and I was listening to the tributes, the comments, the donations, all of your work and the singing, it just struck me that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

Audience: Uhuru! [Applause]

AG: It made me realize that you’re all exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Audience: Mm-hm!

AG: So I just wanted to take a minute and just thank you, all of you—Penny, Jesse, Akilé, of course the Chairman, Chimurenga—but all of you, each and every one of you, for doing all the work that you’ve done, doing all the work you continue to do, keeping the fight going, continuing to do the work.

And really, you need to know that it is an honor to represent you.

Chairman Omali Yeshitela: Bulletproof!

AG: Bulletproof! Thank you all for having us and it’s a pleasure.

All Out to the Trial September 3, 2024!
