EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – Uhuru House Program Manager

 
 
The Uhuru House Program Manager will create, market and coordinate programs at the Uhuru House and Akwaaba Hall to develop a hub of dynamic African political, economic and cultural activities and achieve financial self-sufficiency through rental income.
 
Summary of Duties and Qualifications:
 
 
• Actively solicit community members, organizations, artists, teachers and others to rent Uhuru House facilities for cultural, educational and political events and classes.
 
• Carry out promotions and marketing plan through community networking and outreach, media, internet postings, social media, website blog and monthly calendar.
 
• Carry out general Uhuru House reception office duties, including rental inquiries and arrangements, and maintaining contact databases and photos.
 
• Coordinate two annual APEDF community programs.
 
• Recruit and supervise volunteers.
 
• At least two years related experience in marketing and/or sales. Knowledge of social media, blogs, google docs, flickr photo storage and other online promotional tools. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
