Build to Win Conference and Party school in The Bahamas

NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS––The African People’s Socialist Party-Bahamas is calling on all freedom loving people throughout The Bahamas, the Caribbean and around the world to attend an historic Build to Win Conference on Friday, March 24th at 7pm in Nassau, Bahamas.

For the last ten years, poor and working class people in The Bahamas have experienced hardship after hardship. Unemployment, underemployment, increases in taxes, increase in national debt, etc. The entire world capitalist system is in crisis and the neocolonial leaders in The Bahamas, on both sides of the political divide, offer no real solutions to the masses on how to overcome this imperialist crisis.

Instead of strengthening relationships with our African sisters and brothers throughout the world, instead of building a society that addresses our interests and concerns we have witnessed an acceleration of neocolonialist policies.

The privatization of essential resources and the push of the economy into neoliberal economic configurations have only served to enrich the imperialists and the ruling class while furthering the impoverishment of the people.

Both the Free National Movement (FNM) and the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) have failed the masses. These political parties have proved incapable of providing the masses with economic stability and prosperity. People struggle daily in meeting their basic necessities.

The African People’s Socialist Party-Bahamas is the political party of the people. We are armed with the theory and strategy to overturn the conditions that our people find themselves in.

On Friday, March 24th at 7pm, the African People’s Socialist Party-Bahamas will share its plan with the people. Chairman of the African People’s Socialist Party-Bahamas, Attorney Alex Morley, will deliver a speech outlining the Party’s goals for the next five years. Party members will also give presentations outlining the importance of our work.

For over 10 years Chairman Alex has been on the frontlines of the revolutionary political struggle in The Bahamas. Not only does he lead the work of the revolutionary movement in The Bahamas, but he also leads the Caribbean Front of our movement.

Omali Yeshitela, Chairman of the African People’s Socialist Party-USA and the African Socialist International, and leader of the Uhuru movement, will give the keynote address. Since 1966 Chairman Omali has been fighting for the freedom of African people. He developed the political theory of African Internationalism that understands the world through the eyes of the African working class. Today, he writes and actively leads a worldwide movement for Africa and African people everywhere.

On Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th we will invite our people to take power into our own hands by attending political study sessions at our Build to Win Party School which will give participants the political tools to effectively struggle against this unjust system.

The African People’s Socialist Party-Bahamas was established in 2013. It is a political organization aimed toward the liberation and unification of Africa and African people under the leadership of the African working class.
