Wisconsin students protest police shooting of unarmed Madison teenager

Nearly 2000 students take part in a demonstration in the wake of the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer in the State of Wisconsin.

Protesters chanted slogans calling for justice while marching toward the state capitol in Madison. 19-year-old Anthony Robinson was killed by police last Friday.

The policeman who shot Robinson is on paid administrative leave.

Robinson’s death was the latest in a string of police shootings across the country that has intensified concerns of racial bias in law enforcement. His death has been followed by angry protests in the city.

Chairman Omali Yeshitela of the African People’s Socialist Party is interviewed to explain this struggle.
