Why have the U.S. and EU sanctions failed to put Russia on its knees?

For the vast majority of the people of the world, the U.S. and EU sanctions are the pursuit of military world domination under the disguise of colonial law.

The Russian economy has not been put on “its knees” as pompously announced on March 1, 2023 by Bruno Le Maire, the French economy minister in Emmanuel Macron’s government. In total, there are nine rounds of sanctions, and a new round is on its way!

This is not to say that Russia has not been hit but the West’s strategic goal to engineer the collapse of the Russian economy has failed. Why?

Only African Internationalism can give a concise, scientific worldview that speaks to this question and to the whole world.

The EU and U.S. intervene in Russia’s ability to defend itself

The United States and its Atlantic alliance of bandits have forced out most of Russia’s big economic institutions, which have subsequently ceased to operate because they had suspended or reduced their business operations in Russia.

We are talking about several thousands of factories and stores across the Russian federation quitting abruptly.

On October 14, 2022, The New York Times published the following list of companies who united with the economic sanctions to withdraw from Russia: Carsberg, Heineken, Little Caesars, McDonalds, Starbucks, Pepsi Co, Yum Brands, Netflix, Walt Disney company, Bloomberg, Warner Bros services, Amazon services, Google, Apple, Ericsson, Youtube, American Express, Bank of America, BNY Mellon, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Société Générale, Master Card, JP Morgan Chase, Visa, Western Union, Zurich Insurance Group, Adidas, Danone, H&M, Nestle, American Tobacco Company, Ikea, Unilever, TJX, etc…

The bourgeois press inundated the newsroom with ideas that Russian electronic, airplanes, or automobile industries and other related high companies will not survive the lack of microchips that can’t be supplied to Russia because of the sanctions.

Energy industries such as BP, Shell, and Exxon Mobil oil have also joined with the sanctions. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has arrogantly decided to set a price cap of $60 per barrel on Russian oil sold in the market and threaten to punish countries that may provide maritime transport services to carry Russian oil to be sold around the world. According to France 24 news, the EU has reduced its gas import from Russia by 55 percent.

They froze billions from Russian companies deposited in western banks in Europe and North America. Russian assets from the so-called oligarchs living in colonizer countries were also frozen.

Russia has been excluded from the swift system (i.e. Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications), and is banned from raising capital in western cities.

Main reasons Russian economy avoids collapse

China, with the largest economy in the world, and India, the second most populated country in the world, make up a population of over two billion people who don’t support the U.S. war in Ukraine.

China is more than fully aware that the defeat of Russia is bad news for China. The victory of Russia is good for China and the rest of the oppressed nations.

China has overtaken the U.S. as the largest economy in the world by becoming the factory of the world. Russia is the supplier of gas energy to China. The economic success of China is a factor.

An assault on Russia is an assault on China and on all the countries who understand that the rise of China and Russia give them an alternative to the dictatorship of the U.S. and its Atlantic Alliance.

India got the essentials of its military hardware from Russia. In a time when India is vying for world power, there is no way that India is going to join the U.S. war against Russia.

There is no capitalist U.S. or Europe without the assault on Africa. The white colonial leaders have recognized that Africa is opposed to the war on Ukraine against Russia.

Since the betrayal of the Black Revolution of the Sixties, and despite the neocolonial devastation of Africa, this is the first time Africa is reemerging as a factor in the balance of powers.

India and China have one government, an industrial development and huge populations. Africa also has a vast population that is dismembered, fragmented and lacks a united government to speak for the Black Nation around the world.

The U.S. and EU are not winning because the majority of humanity is opposed to their colonial domination of the world, which seeks to dominate Russia and China too.

Countries such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey, which are not known for anti-colonial positions, also refused to follow the U.S. in their war against Russia.

The world is open for Russia and this is a painful reality that the U.S. has no power to alter. The world is recognizing that the U.S. can no longer dominate the world as it used to.

This is the significance of the rise of Chairman Omali Yeshitela and the African People’s Socialist Party, armed with the science of African Internationalism, a theory that informs the whole world on the significance of colonialism as the mode of production, around which every contradiction in the world revolves.

The war on Russia is a war to defend this colonial mode of production in the same way every attack on African people by the police, banks, immigration, etc. is a defense of the colonial mode of production.
