We stand in solidarity with the Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela!

Editor’s Note: The following presentation was delivered by Luwezi Kinshasa, Secretary General of the African Socialist International, to the Venezuelan Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World, on Thursday, March 22, 2021.

Uhuru Comrades,

Uhuru Distinguished Guests and Participants,

Uhuru means freedom in Swahili, one of the languages spoken in Africa.

We warmly salute the leadership of the Bolivarian Revolution for organizing the Bicentennial Congress of the Peoples of the World (Workers Sectors).

We salute the Bolivarian labor movement.

Solidarity with the Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela is our duty.

The combined struggles of all the workers in oppressed nations are ushering in the death of U.S. imperialism and parasitic capitalism.

The colonialist-capitalist world economy that sucks our resources and lives cannot continue to exist.

In Africa, in South and Central America, in Asia and inside the internal colonies of the oppressor nations, we are demanding and building a new world—a new socialist world.

At the historic speech made on January 24, 2019, at the prestigious bourgeois university of Oxford, Chairman Omali expressed our unconditional solidarity to the government of Nicolás Maduro and to the people of Venezuela against the threat of American military aggression.

An attack on Venezuela is an attack on the African Nation too. It is this principle that we unite with all distinguished comrades and participants in today’s conference.

We condemn all aggression by the United States government against the peoples and the government of Venezuela.

The United States government is the greatest terrorist humanity has ever known, and as such, is totally disqualified from calling genuine representatives of oppressed peoples “terrorists.”

The United States was born from the double genocide of Africans and of the Indigenous in the United States.

The American state as a “settler state” is a terrorist state by nature, since it is necessary to massacre and expropriate, by force of arms, the lands of the indigenous peoples.

Venezuela, Iran and Cuba, to name a few, are under the economic sanctions of the United States government.

Sanctions constitute an act of aggressive war against the peoples who suffer the painful effects of these sanctions.

The United States routinely assassinates democratically elected and legitimate leaders and representatives of oppressed countries.

The United States created and armed a death squad in Latin America and Central America to maintain colonial rule.

The United States has trained and armed armies through Rwanda, Uganda, South Sudan, to name a few, whose mission is to kill and decimate millions of people to have their lands plundered by colonialist corporations.

It is clear to us that the American regime wants to prevent the government of Nicolás Maduro from effectively transforming Venezuelan society for the benefit of its people.

The history of the elections in Venezuela shows that the Chavistas won in a transparent and convincing way in almost all the elections.

The government of Nicolás Maduro has the support of the people of Venezuela.

We ask all the oppressed peoples around the world to mobilize and support the legitimate government of Nicolás Maduro against any U.S. aggression.

We welcome all the reforms and social advances made by the Bolivarian government of Hugo Chavez and Nicolás Maduro.

We salute the international solidarity of the government of the Bolivarian Republic towards Cuba and all other peoples of the colonized countries of our planet.

The Bolivarian Republic of Nicolás Maduro is an inspiration to all peoples around the world struggling to regain their independence and human dignity against Western imperialist domination led by the American bourgeoisie.

We salute the brotherly/sisterly solidarity of the government of Venezuela with the African people around the world.

We are for the self-determination of the people of Venezuela.

No Compromise!

No Surrender!

Long live the government of Nicolás Maduro!

Long live the sovereign people of Venezuela!
