U.S. Hands off Cuba!

DECLARATION OF MRS. JOSEFINA VIDAL FERREIRO, DIRECTOR GENERAL OF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF CUBA

Once again the Cuban Government has reiterated denouncements of the subversive programs implemented by the Government of the United States against Cuba are confirmed.

In an article published on August 4th, that gives continuity to the report made public in April 2014, about the undercover project “Zunzuneo”, the American Press Agency, Associated Press (AP) gives evidences of another of these subversive programs financed by the United State Agency for International Development (USAID), with the objective of negatively influencing the Cuban youth.

This project, which authorship and execution has been shamelessly acknowledged by the Government of the United States, pretended to turn Cuban young people, previously identified and recruited by Latin-American emissaries, into political actors to act against the Government of Cuba.

These events ratify that the Government of the United States has not given up its interfering and hostile plans against Cuba, pretending to create destabilizing situations to cause changes in our political system to which millions of dollars are dedicated every year.

The Government of the United States must stop once and for all its illegal, undercover and subversive actions against Cuba, which violate our sovereignty and the will of the Cuban people to improve our social and economic model and consolidate our democracy.
