Unique D’Vine becomes the new Distribution Manager for The Burning Spear

Comrade Unique D’Vine committed herself to relocating from Tampa to St. Petersburg, Florida in order to further the revolution, even before attending the 2016 African People’s Socialist Party (APSP) Plenary in January.

She decided to take on a new role as the Distribution Manager for The Burning Spear newspaper at the request of Chairman Omali Yeshitela.

In Unique’s first role with The Burning Spear production team, she served as a proofreader.

When asked to speak on why she decided to move to St. Petersburg, she said:

“The work is here. The movement is here. The revolution is here.

“I felt in order to do my work effectively, I had to be here, too.”

During the Plenary, Unique was an incredible, behind-the-scenes force.

Under the leadership of Jevon Gammon, Director of Agitation and Propaganda, Unique played an instrumental role in coordinating and executing various tasks for the audio/visual production team, selling copies of The Burning Spear as well as collecting donations and selling apparel and other promotional items for Black Power 96.3, which will launch this year in April.

With a strong background in sales, marketing, and public relations, Unique brings a host of talents and skills to The Burning Spear distribution team.

Since moving to St. Petersburg, Unique says that her “experience so far has been intense but rewarding.”

“I’m mentally and sometimes physically exhausted at the end of the day, but I wake up every day with a renewed sense of purpose.

“I realize my responsibility and how integral it is to the Movement, so I take my work as Distribution Manager very seriously,” she added.

The Burning Spear is the oldest black power newspaper and is the most effective tool for reaching and educating the masses of African people about the Uhuru Movement and African Internationalism.
