New Uhuru FM Radio Station in Sierra Leone!

In November 2009, a new FM radio station will be launched in Makeni, Sierra Leone. This new radio station represents a major victory in the struggle to give voice to the worldview of the colonized African working class and our struggle for liberation and national self-determination.

Under the leadership of Chernoh Alpha M. Bah, this new FM station will carry on the tradition of The Burning Spear Newspaper in uniting and informing the struggles of African people and forwarding the International African Revolution. It will unabashedly represent the interests of the African working class, providing news and culture to the region.

Programs from this new station will also be broadcast online over UhuruRadio.com, allowing Africans throughout the world to hear the voice of our sisters and brothers in West Africa.

While the crisis of U.S. and European imperialism deepens every day, the opportunity for the colonized peoples around the world — whose stolen land, labor and resources have fed the U.S. and Europe for the past 500 years — to end that parasitic relationship and take our future into our own hands becomes even greater!

This is our day! For too long has imperialism monopolized power and ideas! Congratulations to the new Uhuru FM radio station in Sierra Leone! Forward the African Revolution! One Africa! One Nation!
