The Party Congress is the highest organization of the Party. It is where we carry out all important tasks such as electing our leaders, creating resolutions that will guide our work for the next three years until the next Congress and most importantly, it is when the organization studies the political report to the Congress.

The report, written by APSP Chairman Omali Yeshitela, lays out the development of the parasitic capitalist system that was born from the enslavement of African people and theft of Indigenous peoples’ land. Parasitic capitalism is the system that has built white power into a dominant global entity.

The Chairman’s report also sums up the defeat of the Black Revolution of the 1960s and the subsequent struggle by the African People’s Socialist Party to build a revolutionary organization, the vanguard Party of the African Revolution.

The process of the virtual conference leading up to the Party Congress will cover the following areas:

  • Overview and presentation by Chairman Omali Yeshitela on his Political Report to the Sixth Congress
  • Overview of Congress procedures
  • Overview of proposed Constitutional amendments
  • Acceptance of proposed resolutions for the Congress
While all the Regional Conferences will not meet the standard of the constitutionally mandated meetings we will have before future congresses, we are making an attempt to bring the regions together to deepen the political understanding of our members, mass organizations and allies.

The Regional Conferences will be the last national meeting before the Party Congress December 7-11, 2013.

The Party is convinced that we can strengthen our entire movement, spread the influence of the Party and deepen the commitment of our forces to attend the Sixth Congress if we carry out these virtual conferences successfully.

The Party has developed a protocol that lays out the implementation of the Virtual Conference, as well as the process leading up to the Conferences. We have already started training some of our forces on the protocol but we want as many people as possible to have access to it.

Contact the Party at (727) 821-6620 ext. 33 for information on the protocol or training.

Forward to the Virtual Regional Conferences Sunday, November 24, 2013!

Forward to the Sixth Party Congress in St. Petersburg, December 7-11, 2013!
