On March 3, 2018, The African People’s Socialist Party (APSP) Southern Regional Committee participated in a Memorial Tribute Honoring one of the Black Power Movement’s greatest hero’s, Mafundi Lake.

Philadelphia, PA─  On Saturday, April 21st, the African People’s Education and Defense Fund (APEDF) is h our 7th Annual Uhuru Health Festival & Flea Market and on April 28 APEDF and Black Star Industries (BSI) in Oakland are hosting the 4th Annual Uhuru Health Fair at our own Akwaaba Hall. 

On February 3, 2018, two members of the African People’s Socialist Party, Comrades Yejide Orunmila and Kiongozi Binamu were married in St. Petersburg, Florida in a beautiful outdoor ceremony witnessed by dozens of family, friends and Comrades and officiated by Chairman Omali Yeshitela, Chairman of the African Socialist International and leader of the International African Revolution.

On February 15, 2018 the film “Black Panther” was released to movie theaters worldwide, a film that has now become the highest grossing movie directed by an African in history.

It comes at no surprise that under colonialism, African people everywhere are suffering from imposed diseases and treatable illnesses, with little to no access to adequate medical treatment or assistance.

Little Bobby Hutton was only 17 years old when Oakland pigs assassinated him on April 6,1968.

The time is now for African women to lead and the African National Women’s Organization (ANWO) is the engine that builds those leaders.
