APSP Seventh Congress

It was during one of my frequent prison stints that it became clear to me that the era of “protest politics” was over; that our people had to really fight for power and that meant we had to have a political party, the most effective vehicle for capturing and wielding political power.

Thousands of unknown freedom fighters were massacred. Others fell victim to mass military roundups and were often tortured and imprisoned under cruel conditions within the U.S. and worldwide.

The Seventh Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party is occurring in St. Louis, Missouri from October 6-13, 2018 at a critical moment in history.

African people from throughout the world will convene in St. Louis, Missouri for the week-long seventh Congress of the African People’s Socialist Party starting on October 6th, 2018.
