LONDON—Europe has entered a period of turbulence that produces uncertainty in many ways. The white population is concerned that uncertainty has become the norm.

Every election seems to throw a dismal outcome for the traditional parties and their rulers, despite the huge back up and fanciful predictions they get from their bourgeois mainstream press at the  service of the capitalist class.

Italy’s recent elections on Sunday, December 4, 2016 added fuel to the growing crisis in Europe, where the mainstream parties and their leaders were successfully challenged by new political forces. 

The immigration violence in October 2016 by the French police against the traumatized and impoverished colonial people fleeing U.S.-led NATO wars was world news.

French police demolished the Calais “Jungle” tearing down the makeshift homes of the 7,000 residents.

LONDON—We hear less now of the special relationship between the UK and the U.S. The capitalist crisis is so severe that every imperialist is too busy looking after themselves. 

Washington begged the British to stay in the EU, as Obama travelled to the UK to lecture the British about the necessities of staying within the European Union and Western imperialist realm. 

But the British public, guided by various demagogue white nationalist leaders, who did not plan for the consequence or outcome they were fighting for, gave the leave EU campaign a resounding victory.

Now the effects of the victory are sinking in and a new round of contradictions are emerging. The first one is the crumbling economy. 

NICE, France––French police forced a Muslim woman to remove her traditional Muslim garment while she attempted to enjoy the beach on August 24th.

Photographs of the incident went viral online, sparking uproar.

These images show at least four cops––armed with pepper spray, batons and guns––confronting and standing over the woman––who has been identified as Siam––who was wearing a tunic, leggings and a head scarf, and relaxing on the shore at the town’s Promenade des Anglais.

Siam was forced to remove a blue long-sleeved garment. She was also given an on-the-spot fine and ordered to leave the beach.

United Kingdom––At the June 23, 2016 referendum 51.9 percent of British people voted to leave the European Union (EU), while 48.1 percent voted for U.K to remain in the EU. This sent shock waves throughout Europe and world’s capitalist centers.

Britain’s population and its leaders woke up on the morning of Friday June 24th to a new environment defined by a nation split down the middle, gripped by shock, disbelief and uncertainty.

BIRMINGHAM, England––The African People’s Socialist Party was first in Birmingham in 1983. We traveled there as part of a European and United Kingdom-wide tour to promote the outcome of the World Tribunal on Reparations for black People in the U.S. that was held by our movement in Brooklyn, New York in November 1982.

When we went to Birmingham, we went as African Internationalists, not Pan-Africanists. Nevertheless, we thought it possible to work with self-declared Pan-Africanists despite our ideological differences.

In retaliation for the May 11th protest outside of Willesden Magistrates Court, Genesis Housing Association, Kushinda Olanrewaju’s (a.k.a Shirley Campbell) rogue landlord, obtained a scheduled hearing on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11am for non-payment of rent.

U.S. president Barack Hussein Obama arrived in Riyadh on April 20, 2016 amidst crisis between the U.S. and Saudi Arabian governments.  

For decades, the sell-out Saudi royal family has been a key puppet of U.S. imperialism in the region.

The growing strength of the people’s resistance in Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan, Turkey, Yemen, Bahrain and in Saudi Arabia itself as well as the developing power of Iran are the primary causes that are forcing a rethink of relationship throughout the region.
