The African Internationalist Student Organization (AISO) has a critical role in the international African revolutionary process. Students have played a pivotal role in the African Revolution such as the formation of the Black Panther Party that came to fruition when Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale were students in Oakland. Students have also played a pivotal role in the African Liberation Movement in formations like the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), instrumental in formulating the slogan “Black Power!” on college campuses and throughout African communities around the world.
AISO is an unprecedented formation of a revolutionary student organization because it is part of an existing vanguard party. AISO, under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party, will play a vital role in organizing students and promoting African Internationalism.
There is a crucial need for African youth to join the African Revolution and to develop the intellectual, as well as material capacity of the African Liberation Movement. This is a call for African students to join our revolutionary process. All students who recognize the need to struggle against imperialism and its variant forms (i.e. colonialism and neocolonialism) are encouraged to create AISO branches throughout all of the educational institutions in which they are enrolled.
The African workers and poor peasants need your skills and creativity to enhance our revolution. As revolutionaries join in collective struggle, we will challenge the imperialist and colonialist education process which inculcates an inferiority complex in our minds. We will create a revolutionary intellectual process which will obliterate the reactionary education process that is omnipresent in the educational institutions in which you are entrapped. Joining in the struggle also means abandoning individualist approaches to education and joining in the collective approach which will benefit the African nation and lead to a united socialist Africa which will lift the oppressed and exploited African masses throughout the world to total liberation. We are calling for African students and youth to seize the time and advance the African Revolution!
African people have a blood responsibility to the African nation which is scattered all over the earth to enter the world revolutionary process. In the past, particularly in the Black Liberation Movement of the 1960s, African students have lived up to their responsibility to the African nation. African students must reconnect with the 21st century AISO slogan, “Education for Liberation and Unification!” This slogan recognizes the revolutionary mandate of students to join in the African Liberation Movement.
Join AISO today!
Calling all student leaders to organize students on your campus to get on the bus!
The African People’s Socialist Party is part of an anti-war coalition called the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations. On November 7th, 2009, join us in this historic black-led, anti-war mobilization in Washington, D.C. Black is back and we demand social justice, peace and reparations because the election of Barack Obama as U.S. president has not ended the suffering of our people or U.S. injustices done to people around the world. While Wall Street and the auto industry have been paid trillions of dollars, the U.S. government refuses to repair the damage done to home losses due to subprime mortgage schemes. These predatory lending practices have meant the theft of billions of dollars in black community wealth throughout the U.S. Our people suffer police violence, unjust imprisonment and depression-level unemployment. Courageous men and women who dedicated their lives to our freedom during the prime of their lives still rot in U.S. prisons since the 1960s. Since then, U.S. wars have expanded beyond Iraq to include Afghanistan and Pakistan.
