Baton Rouge, LOUISIANA—The African nation (the black community) is in outrage once again following the release of a graphic video which shows two Baton Rouge cops murdering a 37-year-old African (black) father Alton Sterling early Tuesday morning, July 5, 2016.
The graphic video which shows Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II, both white cops. shooting Alton in the chest several times at point-blank range as he lay on the ground.
Alton sold CD’s in front of a convenience store on a daily basis with the store owner’s consent.
Alton was selling CD’s on Tuesday when the two cops approached him and told him to get on the ground.
Alton repeatedly asked, “What did I do?” but the pigs refused to answer his question and continued to shout, “Get on the ground!”
The cops then jump on Anton and tackled him. He fell onto the car behind him so hard that the car shook. Alton then fell to the ground, when both cops beat him.
The video shows Alton lying face up when one of the cops yell, “Gun!”
The second cop then pulls out his own gun and began to shoot a restrained Alton at least 5-6 times in his chest.
The murder was recorded by an African woman. She can be heard screaming and crying when the cops shot Alton multiple times.
After shooting Alton, Salamonie and Lake did not call for medical help. Witnesses report that one of the officers said “Fuck it”, as both officers stepped away from Alton, leaving him on the ground to bleed to death.
Africans of Baton Rouge take to the streets!
During a press conference held on Wednesday, Anton’s son broke down in tears as Alton’s wife spoke about the death of her husband.
Immediately following the murder of Alton, Africans across Baton Rouge took to the streets demanding justice.
The Africans congregated in front of the store where Alton was murdered yelling for justice and blocking traffic. Some Africans held signs which read “Justice for Alton.”
Africans around the entire world are sick and tired of living under colonial oppression enforced by police, and are fighting back.
Shortly after the video surfaced, neocolonialists––African people who represent the government’s interests––such as Jesse Jackson began to speak out about the murder, pretending to side with African people.
We know all too well however, that Jackson is only trotted out by the State whenever they see fit––to pacify the people and make sure we do not revolt.
The State will do whatever it can to ensure that Africans remain docile while never getting the justice they deserve.
We Africans can either wait for the State to play their usual game of investigating themselves for murder, or we can take matters into our own hands and take control of our African lives.
The U.S. Department of Justice, another arm of the State, has said that they will be investigating the shooting.
Africans must be clear, however, that the State will never find itself guilty. Ever. African people should have no trust in a system that enslaved us, raped our women and killed our children for over 600 years.
Organize! Join the African People’s Socialist Party!
The masses of African people who are enraged about Alton’s murder, as well as the countless other police murders of Africans, should join the African People’s Socialist Party (APSP). We must organize to see the dismantlement of this oppressive colonial system which gives cops the power to kill us.
An African is murdered every 28 hours. Alton is only one of the most recent African victims of police murder captured on camera. In order to prevent future murders of our people, we MUST get organized. We must join the only revolutionary party, that is fighting to free all African people from colonial oppression.
It is not enough to be enraged. It is not enough to post on social media.
We must organize ourselves towards gaining our freedom! That is how we can avenge the murders of our sisters and brothers!
Our Party is led by Chairman Omali Yeshitela and has been organizing towards revolution for over 40 years.
The APSP is based in countries all around the world, from the U.S. to the UK, Africa and the Caribbean. Our primary goal is to liberate Africans, wherever we are dispersed in the world.
Fists up Fight Back!
Organize towards Revolution!
