On May 15, when Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) health minister Dr. Samuel-Roger Kamba declared the 17th Ebola outbreak in the country, we already had more than 200 suspected cases and 65 Africans confirmed dead from the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).
The death of four health workers before the ministerial declaration of the outbreak alerted us that the virus has been in circulation since April 2026, maybe even before since the EVD incubation period is between two to 21 days.
Why were there no emergency contingency plans to deal with any EVD outbreak since EVD reoccurs regularly in Central Africa since 1976?
The cruel truth is that there is no anti-colonial government to protect our people against this mass terror attack from the U.S. colonial Ebola virus.
DRC and Uganda, the two most impacted countries by this EVD are U.S. client States. Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni considers himself as the leading kingmaker of neocolonialism in the region.
Colonial Ebola strikes again
DRC is a country under siege by U.S. proxy wars conducted ruthlessly by Rwandan president Paul Kagame and Uganda’s Museveni.
With 10 million people killed, the colonial media carefully avoids the use of the word “war.” They prefer the word “conflict” to obscure the three decades of U.S. proxy colonial war in Congo, which undermines any genuine effort to fight the EVD in the region.
The EVD outbreak and proxy war are two facets of the same U.S.-led war to maintain chaos as the main feature of colonial mode of protection.
Alongside the aggression against Palestine, the U.S. proxy war in the Congo is the most brutal colonial war of our times.

The long term consequences of these aspects of colonial wars are many. There is the collapse of healthcare throughout the Congo, with over seven million people displaced to concentration camps, euphemistically labelled as internally displaced camps.
Then there is the impunity of widespread gang rape by the army of occupation of women with no distinction of ages which is used as a colonial weapon of colonial terror. These women are raped sometimes publicly in presence of relatives or taken as captives for months.
The people also suffer from an absence of electricity, tap water and impracticable roads among other things.
The people’s mistrust is justified
Our people mistrust foreigners and their collaborators who are rushing to help us but stayed silent when we were killed and raped for 30 years. The people are aware that we are under assault for our minerals and are suspicious that Ebola seems to be in the Congo in a permanent way.
They don’t refuse international solidarity, but they are suspicious when it comes from the same forces who support the genocidal war of aggression in the Congo. The mistrust of the people is natural resistance to foreign forces and their national collaborators.
Our people are informed by their own experience. They have not seen genuine world solidarity against the war of genocide in the Congo. Why would there suddenly be solidarity against EVD?
The general belief for most of the masses of our people is that no outside force benefiting from the Congo’s plunder will ever intervene in genuine solidarity, with millions suffering the colonial hell imposed by the U.S. and its allies in the region.
What is the Ebola virus? Where does this alien virus come from? Why has it been terrorizing African people for 50 years?
Since the U.S. initiated this permanent biological warfare against Africa in 1976, the colonial media covered the truth by blaming the emergence of EVD on either bats or chimpanzees in Africa.

Fifty years without answers
The World Health Organization explains the current outbreak by stating that fruit bats are “suspected” to be the natural reservoir of Bundibugyo virus. The word suspected remains critical. Nearly 50 years after the first Ebola outbreak, the scientific establishment still speaks in terms of suspicion rather than proof.
The report of the International Commission on the Ebola Haemorrhagic Fever in Zaire, published by the Bulletin of the World Health Organisation in 1976, noted,
“The disease was hitherto unknown to the people of the affected region. Intensive search for cases in the area of north-eastern Zaire between the Bumba Zone and the Sudan frontier near Nzara and Maridi failed to detect definite evidence of a link between an epidemic of the disease in that country and the outbreak near Bumba.”
The Tarzan scientist and ideologues showed up in the middle of Africa and discovered one of the deadliest viruses ever although the disease was unknown to us who lived there from time immemorial.
Six species of Orthoebolaviruses have been identified to date, of which the following three have been successfully weaponized against African people, causing large outbreaks of unimaginable horror in Africa.
Those are the Zaire Ebola virus (EBOV) causing Ebola virus disease (EVD), the Sudan virus (SUDV) causing Sudan virus disease (SVD), and the Bundibugyo virus (BDBV) causing Bundibugyo virus disease (BVD).
The latter is less frequent, since it first appeared out of nowhere in a district of Bundibugyo in Western Uganda in 2007, before crossing the border into the Congo in 2012. Having gone dormant, it all of sudden reappeared again in 2026.
Colonial aid serves colonial interests
It is not just Trump’s program cuts, it is the whole damn system.
Colonizer scientists and media don’t miss the opportunity to inform us that there are no vaccines for the Bundibugyo strain—the one that is killing us right now in the Congo—but are quiet on possible candidate vaccines that were tested or may be being tested clinically or in labs.
The bourgeois press and liberal leaders blamed the arrogant and openly anti-black U.S. president for reducing the U.S. contribution to the UN dependency programs from $17 to only $2 billion.
These dependency programs have not stopped the previous 16 Ebola outbreaks in the Congo.
These U.S. colonial programs are destined to create a client basis for corrupt officials to secure U.S. interests and influence in the region and keep us dependent on the U.S. ruling class.
The U.S. colonial ruling class is the primary colonial virus that needs to be eradicated if we want to eliminate all the other viruses that depend on colonialism as a mode of production to exist.
From Tuskegee to Basson
The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) Petition to the United Nations on the Crime of Genocide against African People in the U.S. reminded us of the U.S. biological warfare against the Africans inside U.S. borders when it mentioned the “deadly medical experiments on African people without their knowledge, such as the Tuskegee experiment which infected African men with syphilis in the 1930s.”
We remember how in 1763, white settlers led by general Jeffery Amherst and colonel Henry Bouquet gave indigenous people blankets contaminated with smallpox.
In South Africa, Wouter Basson, known as Dr. Death, ran biochemical and biological warfare under apartheid to kill Africans who resisted the white settler colonial regime.
According to just one charge sheet out of 270 pages, published in The Guardian in London, “Basson provided the toxins to kill 200 Namibian South West Africa People’s Organization (SWAPO) guerrillas fighting for independence from South Africa. An aircraft was purchased for the purpose of disposing of the bodies in the sea.”
The greatest threat to African people is colonialism. With the colonizer came disease, poverty, oppression and violence. We must build a free united Africa that can then eradicate all of the remnants of colonial threats to our people, biological and otherwise.
International Solidarity with all victims of colonial Ebola!
U.S. colonialism is the primary colonial virus that must go!
