Korea Protests

Seoul, South Korea — Friday November 3, 2017, coming after U.S. president Trump’s threats to “totally destroy” North Korea [*NBC News September 21, 2017], South Koreans protested ahead of his scheduled trip to the capital of their country.

Koreans, both of the North and South do not take the threats of U.S. white power imperialism lightly.

During the Korean War from 1950-1953, U.S. military planes dropped 635,000 tons of bombs on Korea, primarily North Korea [*May 2, 2017, Darien Cavanaugh].

World War II has been described as the bloodiest U.S. war, but 503,000 tons of bombs were dropped in the total Pacific region alone in that war.

Then, U.S. general Curtis LeMay recalled of the Korean War, “We burned down just about every city in North Korea and South Korea both.”

Lemay also said, “We killed over a million civilian Koreans and drove several million more from their homes, with the inevitable additional tragedies bound to ensue.”

By the end of the Korean War, three million Koreans had been killed by the U.S. military.

The heroic resistance of the Koreans in 1945 against colonial rule by Japan resulted in the forming of an independent Korean government at Seoul called the Korean People’s Republic [KPR].

The U.S. refused to recognize the KPR and established a colonial occupation regime in the south “that was fiercely resisted by the Korean population who wanted to re-unify their national homeland and expel the invaders” [*February 25, 2014, The Burning Spear Newspaper].

U.S. intervention directly caused the split between North Korea and South Korea.

Koreans reject U.S. white power imperialism today!

Chants of “Don’t come here [Trump]!” came from South Korean protesters in Seoul.

“Dump Trump” signs written in both English and Korean were spotted at the protest.

One screaming student was picked up and carried away by several police while other students sat on the ground chanting slogans against the U.S. president.

The new president of South Korea, Moon Jae-in, was inaugurated in May, and North Korea has tested four missiles since he has been in office.

German media outlet Deutsche Welle (DW.com) reported in September 2017 that the “South Korean president’s office has called for the already-controversial deployment of the U.S. army’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense [THAAD] anti-missile system to be suspended.”

This action angered the Trump administration and the North Korean government under the leadership of Kim Jong Un has consistently asserted itself despite warmongering U.S. white power imperialist threats.

Koreans recognize that the U.S. has been the only nation in the world to drop a nuclear bomb.

The U.S. military’s bloody overthrow of Iraq and Libya, ongoing war in Afghanistan and involvement in the devastation and destruction of Syria prompted Korea to defend itself against U.S. aggression.

In 2014, then president Barack Obama declared in a speech he gave to 28,000 troops stationed in South Korea, warning North Korea the U.S. “will not hesitate to use our military might” [*April 26, 2014, thegaurdian.com].

Korean self-determination, Juche is a threat to white power!

Kim Jong Un is the chairman of the Korean Workers Party. Koreans have defined Juche as “adopting the attitude of a master towards the revolution and the construction of one’s country.”

Juche describes solving “problems mainly by one’s own efforts and in conformity with the actual conditions of one’s own politics.”

The Korean Workers Party founder, Kim II Sung formulated the term “Juche” when the U.S. invaders started the insanely brutal Korean War.

The U.S. hates Juche!

U.S. media has dismissed Kim Jong Un as a “mad man” in a relentless propaganda campaign to assassinate his character and to win support in military aggression against North Korea, but it is not working!

Victory to the people of Korea in their struggle for unification and total liberation!

Death to U.S. imperialism!
