Continuing the Black Struggle for Self-Determination: The Task at Hand

Uhuru Comrades, sisters and brothers. As the President of the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM), I am calling on you to attend the historic 25th Anniversary Convention of InPDUM which will take place on September 17 and 18, 2016 at St. Mark Church 9950 Glen Owen Dr., Ferguson, MO 63136

InPDUM was founded in 1991 under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party (APSP). Our trajectory is a revolutionary trajectory with the objective to win our freedom. No other organization has dedicated their existence to the unification and liberation of all Africans across the globe. We recognize that self-determination is the highest form of democracy, which has been stolen from us by the ruling class.

This call is being made with the most serious sense of urgency. The struggle of the 60s continues as the crisis of imperialism deepens. The imperialist (white ruling class) offers up Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton as solutions, but neither of them offer up solutions for the black community.

It’s naive of us to believe people who have invested so much into oppressing us would assist us in anyway. We must have our own independent programs which are not dependent on the Democratic and Republican party. It is the African working class who must lead this struggle.

There is a war being waged against our African communities. We are being brutalized, terrorized, and are suffering still under this corrupt system for more than 600 years.

The 25th Anniversary Convention will feature workshops and presentations that will help us guide our work on our Africans Charge Genocide petition aimed at pushing the United Nations to charge the U.S. government with genocide, because our colonial conditions continue even today.

In addition, we will be working on a plan for Black Community Control of Police to stop the senseless police murders of unarmed African men, women and children. We will address the mass incarceration of African people which is used as a form of population control and has imposed poverty. There will be an important workshop on the school-to- prison pipeline as well a presentation on our program to educate our own children with the Kijiji Home School Collective.

These important topics are part of the dynamic the Agenda for our Convention.

InPDUM has launched various campaigns such as Black Community Control of the Police(BCCP), Africans Charge Genocide(ACG), 3 Drowned Black Girls, Kijiji Home School Collective and The Black People’s Grand Jury that took place in Ferguson, Missouri.

We are asking you to come out to Ferguson and join us in our quest to unite black people all over the world to put our own needs back on the agenda for Black Power and self-determination. In order for black people everywhere to survive, we must come into organization and we must RESIST!

Tickets to attend available for $25
